Tracking

Dedric Mauriac gave an excellent presentation of various visitor tracking systems, making me ponder upgrading from the simple avatar-tracker script I'm using now for the tower.

He should be posting a recording of his presentation soon, and it's well worth hearing if you're interested in tracking stats on your store or sim.

Yeah, i intended to get back in-world for it, but by the time i down-mixed my podcast and got it uploaded, i was late. Then i got tangented and just blew all chances to smithereens of catching any of it.

I'll definitely catch the podcast of it.

That's the great this about SL... if the person running the event puts a little planning into it, you can get something out of the live presentation as well as any handout materials or the podcasted/videocasted presentation afterwards. Plus, the horizontal community structure means that everyone is inherently approachable.

Yep. For anyone who isn't in Second Life, the podcast is available and the slides are hosted over on Google docs as a power point presentation.
