The stage was set.
The lights were on.
The gears were all in sync.
Time for the Jazz Diva.
Raye and Paisley were great, I think the crowd had a great time in the gearworks, messing with all the silly animations and dances I've thrown together for the place. I'll be working on some custom animations so folks will look a bit more lively when laying on a camshaft or hanging from a girder.
The venue may have been a bit too intense for some clients, so I'm not likely going to make the location much more intense, but I will add some more static machinery while trying to cut down on the prims in motion. Maybe a few fake consoles and such to fill out the west and east sides.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by, and especially those who showed their appreciation to the performers by buying their albums and tipping them generously. Live Music in SL depends on the support of the audience and the venues, and I want it to be known that despite the clocktower only averaging out to one performer per week, we take care of that performer as best as we possibly can.
Dolmere Talmasca is scheduled for Friday evening, so we'll see if his thundering basstastic perversions shake the clocktower to its foundations.
The rest of the tower's schedule is posted in the clocktower lobby, the venue, and my office on Collins. Performers who would like me to scout out their shows for consideration should write me... just because you haven't seen me or my upside-down couch at a show, it may just be that I've been hitting my old favorites over and over and wouldn't mind a breath of fresh air (unless it's taking away from my valuable Cyl, JueL and Grace time, that is... and unwinding with Louis... and Ebel Time... and... and... AAUUUUGGGHHHH! I NEED 4 COMPUTERS AND 8 EARS!)
Gospeed has some shots of the event of her own, which reminds me that I need to set Midnight for the island when there's gigs.
Here's one from Doctor Fran. Cool.
Warf had a hard time with the stream. STBY.
Didn't Dedric get the notice from my Edloe group post last night? Weird. I don't pimp these gigs all that hard over LME and such... I just post here, put up the posters, and let the artists decide how they want to bring folks in.
Hopefully the appearance fee and the generosity of the neighborhood residents makes up for the lack of sim-filling hordes.
