Roundup the Podcasts, Clem

I'm listening to Rosedrop Rust's Media Circus again this morning. Good jazz tunes.

But it won't last forever, and a man can only listen to XTC's Peter Pumpkinhead on Seeqpod so many times before the gears in his head rust up.

So, let's turn to the podcast bucket and see what's fresh:

SL Under The Radar explores Babbage, aka The Poor Man's Caledon.

Okay, okay - stop the hatemail! I kinda like Babbage, and apparently there's some steampunk clocks, airships, and other things I need to check out. Intolerable Ginsberg does excellent work, yes. But as for the key in my back, I'm sticking with Dedric's design.

Theodoric Lindman (aka Elisson) pens a 100 word story tribute to Marcel Marceau.

Audio Courses Audio Zenith/Chris Hambly is trying to do some carcasts, using his travel time wisely. He's got two recordings so far, so check them out.

If there's anybody who has a decent recorder that wants to extol the virtues of it, let me know. I need some advice on a portable recorder.

Weiss Plessis ends Online Music Marketing? Um... ok. But I was just getting into it. Damn.

Lovehouse Radio is a Matthew Ebel festival, promoting his new album.

Second Style Podcast is out, starting with notes from the Jewelry Expo, going through some of Simone's new works.

Audio Gumshoe has its second anniversary with a ton of greetings and a trip back down memory lane with Rich DeSoto's history in podcasting.

CC Chapman may not be on Crayon anymore, but he's still wandering Dirty and churning out the Accident Hash on the way to PME.

Anybody else this morning?

I need to explore Caledon more, but unless there's another one of the Caledon sims with a steampunk theme, I think Babbage is more intricate and detailed and true to the genre. The Caledon sim we were one was supposed to be steampunk related (I asked a resident) but it really just looked somewhat victorian without the steampunk.

Still, Caledon's an interesting community of sims that apparently is it's own little world, and people are into the theme of it, big time. I'm not knocking Caledon, but I do think for steampunk, Babbage still is of more interest for "steampunkers" in-world.
