Magic Happens

I heat up, I cant cool down
You got me spinnin
round and round
round and round and round it goes
Where it stops nobody knows

- Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band

High over Gannett island, there's a strange little club floating.

In this box, magic happens, and the magician is Tuna Oddfellow:

Shava Suntzu invited me up there a few weeks ago to experience this trip through this infamous magician and event planner's mind, and I was so enthusiastic about going back, I've set reminders in my cell phone's calendar/alarm.

It's a 180 degree turn from the Open Mike at Los Arboles, where mostly traditional musicians take the stage and play. This is an experience, surreal conversation... it's a reminder that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic sort of thing.

When I did my first Night Of Crap, setting the SoHo tower and furniture spinning and on fire and exploding and such... I think this comes from the same core "What impossible things can you do in here?" quest.

I find myself wondering, just as I wonder with Elvis Faust on Sundays, "What will he do next?"

Those kind of people are people to get to know, be inspired by, and possibly hope to inspire to go further into the impossible.

9PM on Mondays, in case you're curious.

As you should be.

FYI: Tuna's one of the Artropolis crowd, where Cylindrian has her place.

It's neat how all these folks are interconnected, overlapping groups and cliques and niches and networks and such.

We'll see how SLCC has forged new bonds, and what amazing things will result from that.

I am so glad I could add some magic to your night. Come again soon, it's never the same experience twice. If you want a taste of my full force magic and effects show see http://blip.tv/file/291238/.

Believe it or not, that was my show on a low energy night. We flew in minutes earlier from Chicago. I plugged in the Lap Top and before I could catch my breath, it was show time.

Yes, I suspect that SLCC will create lasting bonds and spark more than a few projects for many a happy avatar team.

Magically Yours,

Tuna Oddfellow
VP of Events and Magic, Indigenis
